Founded in 1977, the Marble Historical Society in Colorado is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and interpreting the rich history of Marble and the Upper Crystal River Valley.

We operate the Marble Museum, located in a restored 1912 schoolhouse, which highlights the town’s mining history, the Yule Marble Quarry, and regional artifacts. The society offers educational experiences and keeps local history alive through, museum programs, tours with special access, and events.
